What does it take to modify the exhaust?

The way my stack is set up now, it’s right at face level. So, when I’m driving my tractor in the sunshine, I get an unpleasant “wind” of exhaust fumes. Is there a way to raise the stack or reroute it so it doesn’t blow in my face?

Turn it 180* so the pipe is down.

The trucker and 5 year old in me says taaall stack and shiny. 

Cinnamon horse C160 has a piece of chrome bathroom pipe I cut to add on.

Just find a nice piece of stainless tube slightly larger and longer than whats on there, slip it over existing pipe and clamp it. Stainless exhaust pipe is quite thin so doesn’t weigh too much and is usually not too expensive.

Yes, lengthen the top tube and I put a 45 degree elbow on mine to direct the exhaust to one side and keep rain out. 

I did route it down as mentioned above but didn't like it, soot on the chassis etc. And it messed with the plow frame too.

I made the stack from scratch from parts I bought from an on line exhaust supplier,  really easy to do if you can braze or silver solder.

Give it a go, they look really cool.

A Grab Bar with the correct inside diameter could be added with one bend cut off and the flange removed from the end. Home Depot or Lowe's have them around $ 20.00, just watch out for low hanging branches.

Unpleasant ???   Most of us live for the euphoric huff of a Kohler exhaust.

City folks need their daily “fix” of the Co, etc, us rural types prefer the smell of fresh air, pollen and manure. 🐎🐄🐓🐏

I used to race radio control boats.  Was using 40% nitro fuel.  I miss that smell.  It has been decades since I last ran one.

You should be able to make it much closer to round if you use judicious caution and some large water pump pliers or a c-clamp or something...

 

There are also tools that are sold for expanding exhaust.

Is the whole length of pipe oval? If just the end section, you can buy as suggested, tools to expand exhaust pipes, or determine the diameter if the pipe was round. Grab a piece of timber, preferably hardwood, whittle one end to a longish taper and hammer it into the oval, (after removing the exhaust so you don’t damage anything on the engine). If the pipe is oval all the way along, then again determine the o/d ( measure the circumference calculate diameter, buy some pipe with I/d to suit, and gently dress new pipe with a mallet to the same form as existing exhaust). You won’t be able to clamp it, but if it’s long enough it shouldn’t come off on it’s own. Lots of older tractors had the exhaust exiting through a hole in the bonnet/hood with the silencer just sitting over the manifold outlet. (only way to open the hood).

Is the pipe actually oval, or is it because the end is cut at an angle?

Cut it down about half inch so it's a full circle then go to napa and buy 1.5" exhaust tubing and cut it to how ever high you want slide it over clamp or weld it on. What I do.

Well, geez, that was easy. 🤦‍♀️
 

Walked in to Auto Zone in my high heels and business suit, asked the clerk for exhaust pipe for my tractor (got a weird look, but what evs) and bought a nice long section and a curvy bit for the top. 
Later, changed into my real clothes, took a trip to the farm, and got it all fitted up! 
I guess I need to clamp it?
