ALL other gaskets are cheap garbage from China! The Chinese are copying the Chinese, so the crappy gaskets keep getting crappier....but hey, great source for some Asbestos and cereal box quality gaskets... We have all genuine Onan parts, no imported junk... 16, 18 & 20 HP decarbon kits are part number 168-0189.

JohnD 145 #4 Posted April 11, 2021 What exactly is a "valve grind/carbon removal gasket set"? All those terms make sense just not as a set. Must be because I have a Kohler!

Mickwhitt 4,642 #6 Posted April 11, 2021 Head gasket is all that's required for a decoke. if you are removing the valves then whatever cover you have to remove to access the collets will be needed. Im no Onan guy so someone will chime in if there is anything else. Mick

I've always done as Mick sez - this is a 3 separate steps??? no, on the onan (and the kohler) they are separate gaskets, though. so - since it is a twin there are a pair of head gaskets and a pair of valve cover gaskets. on your kohler you are accessing the valves through the breather cover instead, but you should still have a gasket? lynnmor 7,308 #9 Posted April 12, 2021 On two cylinder engines you may need to remove the intake and exhaust for access, so those gaskets will need to be replaced.

Gets you just the gaskets necessary for a valve job. 1
