Will I need to take the wheels and tires to a tire shop to get them on the rims, or is that something I'm able to do with my handy screw driver and socket set?

It ain't fun ! But you can change the tires at home with a couple of large screw drivers, once you get the bead to break. It may be less frustrating to take them to a shop. In my area it cost about $10 to $15 per tire to have them changed. Note: if Kevin sends you some 8" rims your 6" tires will not fit on them.

That is a 211 or 212 Lawnmower made of sheetmetal, that is not to compare with any horizontalengine Wheelhorsesthey be completely different. front tyres are 6“ rears are 8“ Gearbox is just an Aluminumcase.

Not sure but I think the rims and tires would fit but nothing else would fit your tractor. You would probably be beter off with the 8" rims like @pullstart has and new thre rib tires. The spindles you have are for 8" rims.

No those rims would not work... take the rims Kev is offering. This is what they would look like on your tractor with the very affordable tri ribs Dan mentioned, less the weights of course, and I think they would do well for how you are working the tractor. These are the ones I favor but 85 Georges a piece. Someday when I am man enough to have a C-160 these are what she'll get dang the cost.
