perry 82 #5 Posted June 6, 2009 i need to figure out what hydraulic pump i need to buy to run the loader. this is all i have of the old pump. how do i figure out what size pump to get ?.
Jim_M 178 #6 Posted June 6, 2009 Perry, Your old pump is a 6 gpm gear pump. If you can find another 6 gpm pump with the same shaft, port and pilot size you should be able to make it work. It looks like a Sun brand. Vickers distributors used to handle them. Neff Engineering in Grand Rapids might be able to help you out, but there are probably cheaper places to get one. You won't need one with an internal relief valve, the relief valve is built into your control valve. If you can't come up with anything you can send me your old pump and I should be able to come up with something for you. Get ready for it though, pumps are expensive.
