AHS 1,440 #1 Posted April 5, 2021 Ok, so many questions! Do I have to remove the oil tube? I think I do. Is it just connected by the three screws on bottom? The starter; I have removed the two 9/16” head on bottom, the 7/16 head on back... is that all? I have a used Kohler starter, one that does have the bolt hole in the correct place.. AHS 1,440 #12 Posted April 7, 2021 I know some of you may have bouts with DB electrical, but that’s who I got my starter from. With a 1 year warranty and $61.00 from DB...and a Kohler starter for $275.00. Hopefully that is the last one I will have to put in there!! I doubt it!
