Sparky-(Admin) 21,315 #80 Posted July 16, 2021 Looking great! Is that seat mounted right to the fender pan?You don’t think that’ll make for a hard ride with no springs or something to absorb bumps?

Is that seat mounted right to the fender pan?You don’t think that’ll make for a hard ride with no springs or something to absorb bumps? Thanks Mike! Those are the wheels and tires I got from you last fall. She painted them right up nicely. Seat IS bolted directly to the fender pan, yes. We both prefer it that way. Our terrain is so rough that we never get out of second gear half to three quarter throttle except in the flat of the driveway and even that's rare. We both find that we prefer to have a strong solid seating position and just roll with the tractor as necessary. All the heavy trucks I drive at work and every one of the forklifts I operate, I keep the seat suspension down on the flat. It's part of how I sense the position of the vehicle on the job sites.

ebinmaine 67,421 #97 Posted July 22, 2021 Millie's a runner!! She's done ... Mostly. Enough for the Owl's Head show. When we get back I'll do some refining to her. Needs a different belt guard. Electric work. Carb rebuild. Overall seems good. We'll get video tomorrow when it's light. Here's a few pics. The first three show the clamps I modified to hold one side of the engine to the frame. If anyone knows what they're called please tell me. 2

Gregor 4,846 #99 Posted July 22, 2021 What motor is on there? Did I miss a post somewhere? I thought it was getting the military motor.

So update!! The military engine didn't work out because of a couple things. It has some sort of internal carb parts issues. The rope pulley is cracked and getting worse when run. Trina and I did a last minute swap from a '68 Raider 10 so she could have a drivable tractor at the show. It's a Tecumseh 10 horse.
