Probably a lot of snakes living in those tractors. Nice find though.

Was it the typical hoarder attitude where nothing is for sale and I am going to fix up every single one?

I got a little misty eyed looking at all those poor tractors with no one to love them.  Where is this place?

I hope some one puts all this to good use to the fine tractors. I do not understand why some does this.:ranting:

Let @A-Z Tractor know where this place is, maybe he can pull a lot of that out of there and get it back into circulation.  :techie-eureka:

Wow! Neat find and thanks for posting.  My father used to scrap old cars and I was always fascinated with junk yards and history they contained.

As Dennis mentioned, I'd wander around all day in a daze... ;-)

Quite a find, and quite unfortunate about sitting outside for so long!  Hopefully they can be passed out to those who will take care of ‘em :handgestures-thumbupright:

Today I had the opportunity to walk around 10 acres of a mostly Wheel Horse and John Deere tractors.  My guess is there was 50 to 70 Wheel Horses with countless numbers of snow plows and mowing decks.  There was a 520-8, many 520-H,and quite a few 417’s. Nothing I was told ran and many had been there for years. I bought a few things and was told to come back anytime.  Snapped a few photos.

Wheel Horse pergatory. Waiting until someone comes along to save them from the wet, cold ground. Mine looked a lot worse than a number of those and were resurrected to service. That C-125 is lovely. Well, there, a Sunday message tied to WH...

He was reluctant to let go of much.  I did buy the snow plow  that’s standing in the photo.  I’m negotiating for the 520-8 but not having much luck.

we had an old Allis Chalmers 'high lift' (front loader) that sat for a few years unused

not long after it was started (after sitting) snakes appeared - and that's when I took off !  lol

Really?  Wow, that's a shame.  So many fans who could put those tractors to good use.  Is this place in Virginia?

Nothing wrong with snakes long as you don't get bit by a venomous one.

They're a HUGE help with the rodent overpopulation. We don't have anywhere near enough.

He has decided to sell me the 520-8 for $300.  I have a 520-8 now.  Do I really need another one?
