krystolo 504 #1 Posted April 3, 2021 I've just started with my Wheel Horse journey, and would like to purchase a good manual for the engine so that I can better understand repairs. Any recommendations? Thanks!
stevasaurus 22,764 #2 Posted April 3, 2021 You don't need to buy one...they are in our "Manual Section". Take a look... https://www.wheelhorseforum.com/files/category/12-engine-manuals/
pfrederi 17,741 #3 Posted April 3, 2021 Try these links one for service and one for parts. 2
krystolo 504 #4 Posted April 3, 2021 Awesome!! Thanks! Trying to order a point cover from A-Z. The part number from the manual is 232535, but there is a second number also. The part available from A to Z is 232535-S-u. Is this acceptable? What does it mean having the S-u on the end? Also, when looking for parts, what are all of the variation numbers, and what is their importance?
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,046 #5 Posted April 3, 2021 At the first of the parts manual all the spec numbers are listed. Find yours and each group of parts will have a variation number in the row to the right. The parts groups are at the top of the page. Take that variation number with you to the part. Many Kohler part numbers have been replaced by the same number with an S suffix. On line parts list - 232535-S looks correct. Kohler has taken into consideration your variation numbers for the 71223 spec number. https://www.partstree.com/models/k341-71223-kohler-k-series-engine-made-for-wheel-horse-16hp-11-9kw/ Garry

I see the beginning of the manual has a whole section on how to find a part. I'm a woman. I'm supposed to be good at reading directions. LOL 1

The -u is something that A-Z does, it indicates used parts.
