Probably a shoe lathe, is there a square hole in the other side?

Nope. No holes of any shape.

That is definitely a Cobblers mold/tool. Interesting thought to use it for a bodywork dolly

That is a shoe makers anvil. Rarely seen type. Rather than used on a stand like the regular ones this type was used by resting it on the workers legs or lap while sitting. It could quickly be picked up or put away without getting up to use on a stationary stand like the regular ones. They always have two sides to them of different sizes.

Shoe last.  I think mostly for new soles.  Clinching the nails.

Success.  I figured it was some sort of shoemaking tool, but it was more fun to throw a really oddball idea out there to see what kind of replies it generated. :D

Well done there.

I wondered if that's what you were up to.

I was referring to the other wrench. That adjustable its known as S handled. The other may have been a wagon/coach wrench or a machinists wrench I believe.

How long can they keep doing this, climbing it’s because of Covid?  I watched one sit in Memphis for weeks wondering if it was lost.

Maybe if you stand in the side of I90 USPS could toss it to you when they go by.

One can use it as an anvil  for a variety of functions but the real purpose of it I  believe is to maintain shape of front of shoe as it is stitched to sole.
