Mickwhitt 4,624 #401 Posted August 10, 2023 This is the heat shaped keepsake we bought to hold a portion of Charlie's ashes. Its a lovely thing cast in solid brass with a screw lid on the rear. I've never had a memorial for a per before but this looked so good I wanted to show how special Charlie was to us. 1
Mickwhitt 4,624 #402 Posted August 10, 2023 Going through some of my dog photos I came across this one of a friend's little girl. She found the dummy (comforter, to us a comforter is a woollen blanket) on a walk and picked it up. She would not be parted from it lol. 3

ML3 1,203 #405 Posted December 8, 2023 No pets at home anymore & it's gonna stay that way. Had a stray cat start hanging out at work a couple years ago. After she got pregnant a few of us paid to have her fixed & shots. She's great for rodent control & we refer to her as our workplace emotional support animal. Fortunately I work in the out buildings at plant so mgmt never comes out. My immediate boss knows she around but we hide her from upper mgmt. We named her Mama 1
D_Mac 8,619 #406 Posted December 10, 2023 My boy Jeffrey loves tractors, snow blowers, lawnmowers, and trailers. He loves biting the tires for some reason. He gets almost as excited as I do when starting up a Wheel Horse. 3
c-series don 8,707 #407 Posted December 10, 2023 Took this random picture of Lucy at work the other day. I’ve never met a dog who seems so unimpressed by anything in my life. She just kinda looks around like “This sucks “ meanwhile she doesn’t even know how lucky she is! She’s my first female dog, now I know why they call them *******! Seriously though I love her, she’s my best friend and WE are lucky we can go to work together 👍🏻❤️ 2
PWL216 889 #408 Posted December 10, 2023 This was my boy Jesse with one of our first pheasants. I’ve only had one dog. He passed at 12 1/2 years old. I did a lot of research about bird hunting dogs and I finally decided on a Springer Spaniel. Best decision I ever made. Great hunting dog, great family dog. Only downside is he, and I assume most Springers, need constant exercise, which I was good with since I needed the exercise too! He’s been gone two years and I honestly think about him everyday. Great dog! If I ever get another dog, it will be another Springer.

c-series don 8,707 #413 Posted April 17 A day in the life of Lucy at work. I honestly think that she thinks she has a tough life! Little does she know how lucky she really is and how many dogs would love to go to work everyday! 3
ebinmaine 67,500 #414 Posted April 17 We've been releasing the chickens from the coop & run which is fully enclosed out to the backyard outer perimeter of the dog fence. They've been enjoying their newfound scratching areas. Not technically a pet here but I like em. This is a Spring peeper frog. Tiny little buggers. The Local Photographer got this pic right on our back door trim.

rmaynard 15,459 #417 Posted May 12 We always had pets during our 52 years of marriage, but when the last cat died in 2016, we said no more. Well fast-forward to January of this year, I was driving home after picking up groceries. It had been snowing. In the middle of a busy road, I see what I thought was a clump of dirty snow. As I got closer I saw it was a kitten that had be hit by a car or truck and was struggling to get up. I stopped, gathered it up out of the road and took it to a vet where my daughter works. I figured it would only be a few more minutes that she would be in agony and they would euthanize her. However, the vet felt that there might be a chance of saving her, and three months later after she healed from a partially fractured skull, 3 broken ribs, multiple areas of road rash, and near freezing, we made the decision to bring her home. 100% healthy again, with exception of a few missing brain cells, she is having the time of her life, and so are we. Although she has probably used up 8 of her 9 lives, we'll take what's left. 1

Mickwhitt 4,624 #425 Posted May 13 Our pair of scamps Charles and Poppy, this was taken yesterday, our hottest day of the year so far at around 24 C so they look pretty unimpressed. For a pair of rescue dogs who only met in later life they are pretty close, sleeping together and all. Poppy is a Shi Tzsu cross and has anger management issues lol. She has the cutest bark howl that sounds like "How rude" which she aims at us if we dare do anything to offend or upset her. For example, Sandra thought cut tulips in the living room would look great in a crystal vase on the fire hearth. Poppy did not share her interior design idea and did some flower arranging of her own..... The look on her face says it all.... Of course this left her "purdy near tuckered out" and so she nabbed Sandra's brand new chair that at that point Sandra hadn't even had chance to sit in. You gotta love that cute little cervicalgia. 1
