davem1111 2,030 #352 Posted December 21, 2022 The big white Great Pyrenees/Anatolian on the floor is Singha - I used to call her "Dum Dum". Not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but she's a good girl. The little guy named Koji on the couch is Shiba Inu/Miniature Pinscher. He is my best buddy and likes to sleep under the covers by my feet when it's really cold. Helps keep my feet warm and he barely moves all night, so I don't mind at all. Koji again, with Sophie, Border Collie/Australian Sheep Dog. We don't mess around with purebreds here. I don't think I have a picture of my pot-belly pig handy, but .... she's pretty ugly... 1 2

Rob J. 1,941 #357 Posted January 28, 2023 Lost a big part of me last night. I got her (Tikki) from the pound (2010) as a barely weened kitten for my wife. We had recently gotten an American Bulldog (Libby) and she was still a pup herself. Needless to say Libby wasn’t impressed at first but soon warmed up to the little girl. They were inseparable until Libby died in 2019. After that she latched onto me. I tried to avoid that as I got her for my wife and I didn’t want to go through another animal of mine dying on me. No such luck. I will miss her greatly. I hope she and her best friend are happy now. IMG_6955.MOV 6

She "Meow's" me when it's bed time, sleeps with me, wakes me up if I sleep past 6:00 AM, where I go she goes including the bathroom for any reason, will throw a fit & howl if I close the door & she can't get in, & would probably dehydrate if I don't "water" her from the kitchen faucet. When she goes I know I'm not going to be right for a long time. Sorry for your loss, She was beautiful. This "little" guy learned real quick that Rocket runs the show. Just over a year old here, already 150 lbs. He's probably 160 lbs. now & still gives her a WIDE berth... & this is Effy, she couldn't care less... 2

ebinmaine 67,464 #365 Posted February 3, 2023 This here Meeha Mirror dog is well known for finding a warm place to chillaxalate. She's OFTEN in the sun 🌞 or so close to the base of the stoves you'd think she's cooking herself. Single digit temps outside but it's wikkedd toasty here..... 4 1 2

davem1111 2,030 #371 Posted February 10, 2023 So this little fella decided to adopt us recently. I was in the barn in the almost-dark feeding the pig, and felt something rubbing against my leg and heard purring. We haven't had any cats around for several years, which I was okay with, at least not having any in the house. However, this is probably the nicest cat I've ever known. He followed my son from the barn and walked in the front door of the house like he owned the place. He's just a bit under a year old. Had him neutered this week, and the only problem is our one dog hasn't made friends with him yet, but a bit of time should take care of that. His name officially is "Nikolai" but my son calls him "Gert". He's a "keeper", or at least, he thinks we are.... 3 1

'67Craftsman's 151 #374 Posted February 26, 2023 Here is my late cat named Grain, she was 17 when we had to put her to sleep at only 3 pounds, she sadly had cancer when she passed away. It will be 2 years come March 30th. It is NOT the same at all without her here even though we have our 3 new cats now. My stepdad was sortin' through some old pictures his late wife took and a couple of Grain's pictures were in there and I just starred at them remembering her and how much of a great cat she was; I'm surprised I didn't start cryin' because she was my best friend and meant everything to me. I had one of our new cats named Mattie sitting on my lap and I was apparently thinkin about Grain at the time and I was talkin to Mattie and I called her Grain. 2
'67Craftsman's 151 #375 Posted February 26, 2023 The 2 new cats are brother and sister, their given names are Oliver (great name because he's named after a tractor) and Matilda but we call them Ollie and Mattie. They came from our local shelter back in August 2021. I came home from work after a bad day and my mom and stepdad surprised me with them and a 3rd cat, but unfortunately he went back because he was giving us problems. I called for the cat who went back because he was already out sniffing around the house and Mattie came right out when I called. Mattie came around for the most part and she is friendlier than Ollie, Ollie came around also but is still a little skiddish. They are both gray and white but Mattie is more white in her face. They both are about 3-4 years old. The kittens name is Rex, (at first it was Toby). We couldn't pick a name for him for 2 weeks, it was very hard we had so many names in mind we were thinking. We got Rex from my coworker whose cat had 3 kittens, he was 1 of 2 boys and was born back in August of 2021 so he's not that old yet. I figured I would surprise my mom and stepdad this time with him. He reminds me so much of Grain, I am glad I got him. He used to love to snuggle with us like Grain used to but not really much anymore, he used to love the bathtub like Grain but he seems to like the sink more, and he even looks like Grain because he is a gray tiger but has white mixed in which Grain didn't have. He don't compare to Grain but he is pretty close. Rex and Ollie are best buddies, they play together all the time and lay with each other a lot too. Ollie even lets Rex clean him too. Mattie...... Ollie...... 4
