bc.gold 3,403 #252 Posted June 16, 2022 (edited) Pat just told me our cat almost became part of the food chain, she said as the cat was making her way to the house became wary, looking around being cautious, when Pat called the cat she made a beeline for the house. The owl swooping down upon her from above miscalculated by the cats dash to greet Pat, missed dinner for her fledglings. The hunt goes on. We've had this stray cat for six years, this is a record. Usually gone in two. Edited June 16, 2022 by bc.gold 2 1

Tractorhead 9,064 #256 Posted July 9, 2022 Looks like rest in „Big“ ...😄 No he's not lazy.. The swelling on his white paw is going down after he kicked a wasp last night. At first we thought he hurt his paw after a big jump, but then we see that there was a big wasp nest under the cherry tree. A cortisone shot helps him reduce the swelling a little faster. The doc told us to reduce his activity and we ask how to do that with this „hyperactive“ dog- teeny. but today he enjoys his rest and likes it. 3 1
tunahead72 2,424 #257 Posted July 9, 2022 @Tractorhead What kind of dog is that? We're fostering a dog that looks a lot like that (except she's black) -- same long body and huge paws, stretches out forever just like yours is doing in the photo, also very active. Do you have any more photos? 1

I got him from the shelter after he was found roaming the streets severely injured. He needed surgery to close him back up. He has turned out to be a great dog. So glad our paths crossed. 1 1

This breed was originally bred in Africa to hunt lions and guard settlements. They are great family dogs but very demanding when it comes to training. You need a very consistent hand. The white pawn and white breast are usually undesirable in this breed, but we especially fall in love with him while he has the white pawn and white breast. He was the first of 7 siblings who decided to come with us. That means we didn't choose him, he's chooses us. a few more pictures? ok.. he is a good Buddy and Pet. Sometimes he is lemme say a little extreme Powerful or better to say „hyperactive“ and it seems he don‘t know the word „filigran movement“. He love large walks and agility training the whole day, but we must stop him to take care on his hips while he‘s growing and he’s still too young for so much Powersports. Otherwise later hip troubles can occur. he has an extremely friendly nature but he is also very clumsy Lot‘s of training with him let him go in the right direction, but actually he is a teeny and he forgot things he allready learned within seconds. 2 1

ineedanother 1,369 #263 Posted July 22, 2022 This is Beans who we lost in February to a brain tumor. She was 15 and a daddy's girl. The most gentle dog I've ever known. RIP sweetheart. The second pic is the terrorist, speed demon with unfortunate ears. Mama was abused and rescued. Abbey was born in March and the runt of 11 so had to be bottle fed. She just turned 4 months and will no doubt be a cherished family member. She's a nut! 3 1

Alla sudden, out of the shrubberies comes a Red Fox on the run, grabs one of the tree rats just like in your pic and trotted off toward the tree line. It was pretty cool to see this up close and personal. I don't think the fox knew we were there, and even if he did, he was more hungry than he was wary of us. It was only about 20 feet away. 4

While cute and all they are destructive as hell. They eat everything but the rhubarb. They’ll munch a thorny blackberry stalk like it’s jerky. But do feel bad for the little bastards when the snow flies. So we put a bucket of corn out for them every night. Life of Riley.

Here in the forest there's so much native food the deerseses will just take a quick glance at a 4 ft tall fence and leave. Too much work.
