WheelHorse520H 708 #84 Posted August 21, 2021 (edited) The dog is named Mystic. We rescued her from a shelter and she was overweight and neglected. She has some serious anxiety issues because of the previous family. But she has picked a favorite in the family, thank fully me. I don’t remember off the top of my head how old she is, i think 5. Before I got my 520 running she would sit out there with me with her big red ball and gnaw on it while I worked away. Now she hangs with me most of the day. Nice to have someone to talk to when no one else is around. She tilts her head back and forth while you talk to her like she is confused. the grey cat is named Smokey and she will sit at the top of the stairs and meow if everyone went to sleep except you. She is extremely lazy. Sometimes if you talk to her she will meow back. The brown cat is named Penney, she is quiet most of the time but once stole a steak tip off the counter and ate the whole thing. She loves boxes. And yes when Mystic first moved In with us Penney stole her bed. She did that with our old dog Brady who has passed away around 5 years ago. merrykeys 4 #89 Posted October 21, 2021 How cute everyone is here! I love animals very much, but I couldn't afford to get any for a long time. I realized that I wouldn't have enough time to take care of an animal. It would make a pet sad, and I couldn't do that.
merrykeys 4 #90 Posted October 25, 2021 How cute everyone is here! I love animals very much, but I couldn't afford to get any for a long time. I realized that I wouldn't have enough time to take care of an animal. It would make a pet sad, and I couldn't do that. It wasn't until recently that I got a new job, and my amount of free time increased significantly. I finally decided to get a pet, namely guinea pigs. They are just beautiful animals that make me happy every day. I was shocked when I heard the answer yes to the question: can guinea pigs eat tomatoes? Their diet is very varied. They eat almost everything. For me, this is a significant factor.
bc.gold 3,403 #91 Posted November 3, 2021 (edited) Showed up as a kitten, summer routine. She's usually out the door at 5:00 am back in for a snack around 9 am then back outside until 11:00 pm It takes a smart cat to survive hungry predators on the ground and from above, Garfield, Tommy and Wizard all met with mysterious endings. This cat has been with us four years, a new record. Edited November 3, 2021 by bc.gold 2
Pullstart 62,924 #92 Posted December 7, 2021 Lynx came to the door Saturday night with a left front flat. After a visit ‘til 2am at the 24hr emergency in the big city, we were sent home with the statement of a fracture, but they told me it was loose and crunchy inside. That tells me a break. Yesterday’s x-ray at our vet shows a clean break along the humerus bone and it’s set almost perfect to naturally heal. Today I’m working on a home made splint, since our vet wanted 2k for a pin or 700 for amputation. Off to the farm store for cast padding and vet wrap! 3 1

Odd for that to happen to a cat just jumping around. We don’t know where or how, but he never goes by the road… usually sticks around the wood stove mousin’. Now today already, a mouse ran in front of me in broad daylight under a skid to bust up. Well, that turned into a slug fest, me wielding a flat shovel and him running around and over everything. Not sure if I got him or he found refuge under something! Lots of swings and a misses going on!
WHX?? 48,845 #98 Posted December 8, 2021 Good vid Kev. Popsicle sticks or tongue depressors wrapped tight make good splints for a small animal. Even small sticks if only thing available. Biggest problem is getting them to keep them from chewing it off. Neck collar works best. That's what I used when Poo Poos busted her leg before Ciiinnndaaay could get her to the vet. Of course we had to go the $$ route on her since she had $$ in her already. My BIL who is a vet picked a bad time to retire! He taught me all this crap! She's harassing Tom here. 2 1
