Darabsdny 2 #1 Posted March 29, 2021 I am rewiring my b80, basically rewiring completely. Would it be bad to bypass the pto switch?
Jeff-C175 7,202 #2 Posted March 29, 2021 (edited) Why would you want to do that? I don't think it's wise to be able to exit the machine with implements possibly still running. (not my foot BTW) Edited March 29, 2021 by Jeff-C175
rmaynard 15,514 #3 Posted March 29, 2021 Yes. If you ever plan use the mower it will prevent you from cutting your foot off.
ebinmaine 67,627 #4 Posted March 29, 2021 I'm under the impression it's the general policy of this site as a whole to NEVER recommend disabling or removing a safety switch. In particular if you have any kind of hilly terrain, anyone but yourself running the tractor, children anywhere in the area, other hazards that shall remain unnamed, it's a bad idea to run an implement without a safety mechanism.

gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,047 #6 Posted March 29, 2021 There are 5 different model numbers for the B-80. Care to share what yours is so we can look at a diagram? Garry

Bill D 1,926 #8 Posted April 7, 2021 I'm a big fan of safety switches. I won't run any tractor without them, especially when mowing. Bill
