Is there a large gaping hole in the front of the hood :eusa-think:  if so it had the head light option.  Some of my tractors have added lights to the hood.

There probably is once I take the lens cover off. There is no wires to hook any up that I see.

If you turn the steering wheel hard right you will see a grease fitting at the bottom of the steering shaft near the fan gear.

And what kind of grease would I use?

I use GAA (Grease, automotive and artillery) because I have a lot of it....  This is not a high temp area so just about any grease will do.  What ever is on your grease gun is probably OK.

So I had a stupid plastic funnel that I used to do oil changes that had a tube connected to the funnel part, I guess so the funnel could swivel, a slight angle to fit different areas.

well, when I was taking the funnel off after doing my oil change on my C101, the tube part popped off and fell in the crankcase. Of course can’t see anything through that hole, tried for a while fishing it with a coat hanger, but no sign of it at all.

perhaps I’ll be lucky and it just sits somewhere in the crankcase without touching any moving parts.

      Hi Guys,

      Looking for some advice,

We rebuilt this k241 with a +.010 piston, Its had a rebore to +.010 but they did it off the manual specs and not the piston.
Not ideal with an aftermarket piston but I wont get caught on this next time.

Its developed this oscillating ting noise, its not the metal cover its there with it on and off,
its 100% from the cam side, does it under low load / slow idle,
Have setoscoped the motor with a screwdriver to the ear, and I cannot locate it.
      but its in the top.

Have rechecked valvel clearances x2 already , 1st before initial run, and again day after, very minimal adjustment made after 1st run.

Ting noise clearly heard in the video , appreciate any advice.

Hi folks, picked this up not to far from home this morning.  Seller had mentioned it needed some carb tweaking, it would idle up, but then not idle down when ya moved the lever back, kinda raced......I thought maybe it just needed a govenor adjustment, but feared it might be an internal govenor problem.  Lucky me, as it turned out, the linkage was just kinda wonky, and needed the be persuaded with a pair pliers to allow free movement without getting hung up on itself!! Idles up and down great now, runs like a kitten too!!!  Came with the 42 inch deck, plow, some extra blades and pieces parts, and manuals.  Fella was asking 400$ for all of it, I end up getting it for 300$.  He was very nice and seemed glad it was going to someone that would appreciate it.  Anywho,  just Sharing.

I have a Raider 10 with a K241 engine that won't turn over.  It's totally dead.  Headlights won't even turn on.  I've got a brand new battery and new battery terminal wires, but the small wiring is old and this might be the problem:  a disconnection somewhere.  So I'm gonna rewire some parts with new wire.

Does anyone know the correct wire gauge to buy?  I can't find it listed in the manual.

I know I've been mia for a while, so it's good to be back. I was looking at a Massey Ferguson 10 on Craigslist, but it has the Techumseh HH100. I have had much better luck with kohlers and just so happen to have an extra K241 laying around the barn. I was wondering if you guys thought it would be super difficult other than the obvious ( changing wiring and ignition switches) to swap out the motors.
