Mickwhitt 4,642 #1 Posted March 28, 2021 Reading the news today it seems the Oxford v Cambridge boat race has had to be moved this year due to covid and other problems. Its been moved to another stretch of water in Cambridge near the village of Littleport. One of the villages claims to fame (other than posh smart kids rowing impossibly impractical boats up and down it) is that the father of one of the founders of Harley Davidson came from there. Apparently they make some sort of popular motor cycle over in America so I'm told. Anyone know of any other *** bits of info abinfo where famous folk come from.
stevasaurus 22,767 #2 Posted March 28, 2021 Well, I am not famous...yet, but I have probably saved the world a couple of times when I was in the U. S. Navy. I also have done the Wheel Horse Transmission videos that have saved hundreds of horses. Anyway, I hale from Elgin, Ill. home of the famous Elgin Watch Factory. Many of my family has worked in this factory through the years. These watches can be found in every country in the world.
