Got this deer corralled by my horses!

The Tuul Crib

My chiropractor brought his tractor by for me to work on to get running for another season I told him , well.... ok. He just wants to get it running for another season and he's looking for a tractor to mow his yard with. I told him I'd build him a wheel horse and I could paint it green so he could think it's a JD!

The last time I had a Deere in the shop it created quite the ruckus and some bad language.

I got just the WH for him no building required, just put the deck (his choice 42"sd or a 36"rd) back on it down here in Pensacola Fl.

Yes, better built but not so simple to work on.  This little gem needed a starter, from what I remember the manual instructs you to unbolt the engine and lift it up in order to replace it.  I managed to replace it with out all that silliness.  I replaced the two drive belts, not so bad but the adjustments to the variable speed are a PITA.  What I can say is this little Deere is Heavy!!  It drove like a tank, steered nicely and made great traction.  But I will have to pass on owning one.

Quality is more than skin deep!       Once he operated a Wheel Horse he would know it cold outrun a Deere!

Ha! I grew up with square fender 112 a lot like that. Regular manual lift, though. Well-built, long-lasting machine with a good Kohler engine. But it was always good for a ruckus and some language when it came time to swap the mower deck or snowthrower, or do repairs bigger than routine maintenance. Even back then (1970s) Deere was starting to steer folks toward having their service centers do everything.
