Todays FB deal

I picked up this craftsman grader blade for 125 on FB marketplace today. I am going to modify the sleeve hitch to fit one of my horses. I got a Sears 917. model number blade last year for my dads ST16 but will sell that one since he has a craftsman sleeve hitch to 3 point adapter. That way we can share this one. This blade is like new.

That blade is definitely made by Brinly, I have the exact same one brand new from them never used.

Bought new brinly as well, looks just like that. We’ll save for the craftsman sticker...

Put a clevis hitch on the horse and you won't have to modify anything!

I thought it was a Brinly when I first laid eyes on it. Sears knows who to go to when they want something made in the USA. Now I have a bottom plow and grader blade but Brinly! What’s next?

I am going to put a Clevis  hitch on but have to do a little welding first. The hitch I currently have is either a cub cadet or John Deere. Just going to do a little fabricating. It came with my bottom plow and I tried to sell the hitch but no takers. I could buy the correct one but since this is laying around I may as well use it for something.

I finally finished converting what I’m pretty sure was a cub cadet sleeve hitch, into one that works for my tractor. I used material I already had so it didn’t cost me anything other than some 6011 rod. I know I could buy one but it’s fun to me to do some fabricating since I don’t get a chance to do it as often as I would like. I’ve been doing some work in the yard which requires grading so I finally had a chance to use it. In the pic there’s only one cable clamp but I need a second and the bale pin is not the right pin either but it still works. I’d say it was a success.

Looks great! Hate to be the fly in your ointment but the WH hitches have the lift arm off center toward the left side to align with the exit point of the rear cable tube and the rear rockshaft. You'll want to be sure your isn't pulling at an angle when you lift.

You are correct and I thought about that when I was putting it together but it lifts like it should. Should it become a problem, I do have a solution. Thanks for your input 👍🏻
