steelman 251 #27 Posted March 26, 2021 I have a 417...I call it my “Big Boy” tractor as it certainly has that feel. If it has the louvered hood it is an 86. For those who have no idea what lake effect snow is.......Well basically, sometime middle november it will start snowing, and it will pretty much snow every day till middle march. Its not uncommon for it to snow 5-7 straight here. Sometimes we get a snow "storm" which means it will snow atleast 1" of snow per hour, for 12+ hours. Cee245 818 #30 Posted March 29, 2021 @stegs I know what you mean. I'm just East of Erie. It's funny to us, the "official" snow total is way off from us usually. Like @Handy Don says, a little wind direction makes a big difference. Inland and lakeshore snow fall is WAY different. In lake effect, the lakeshore routinely gets say 8", and the "snow belt" (south of I90) gets double that. I've never had problems with my single stage, then I got a 2 stage. The 2 stage is admittedly much nicer, but it's so heavy, I think I'd prefer the single. (Haven't fully decided on that quite yet) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I did the sprocket mod and flapper mod to it, and it works great. Problem is the 110 is a gear drive, so your constantly changing gears I had a snowblower on my simplicity sovereign, but sold it and kept the plow. That way i can "scrape" the driveway cement clean Now my bevel gear box is starting to chatter on my simplicity, so now im getting a rebuild BGB .......may have to sell the wheel horse to pay for it.....I guess ill wait to see what the estimate costs Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
