Tach-a-matic 357 #1 Posted March 23, 2021 Interested in seeing some pics of your Horse running larger 18's on the front. Pros and Cons going up in size?
ebinmaine 67,687 #2 Posted March 23, 2021 Here's a shot that is just a hair more than what you really asked for but as a visual I figured I'd throw it in here for you. Last fall we had a little get-together at my place. The 314 on the left side and now also the Patriot horse next to it, are owned by @OldWorkHorse Steve and his other half, Ariel. Next in line are Trina's 2 1967 tractors and on the far right is my Cinnamon Horse C160. Everything except the Cinnamon Horse in this picture is running a 16" tire of some sort. On my C160 I use 20x8x8. I did that for two reasons. 1. I wanted the extra height clearance for the forest work that I use it for. 2. I also wanted to have the largest tire that I could fit the most fluid into.
8ntruck 7,022 #3 Posted March 23, 2021 A larger front tire might cause interference with a snow blade, a grader blade, or a mower deck at full steering lock and high blade angles.

Pullstart 62,922 #5 Posted March 23, 2021 The correct answer is probably “it depends.” As stated above, there are pros and cons of either choice. I like a big front tire, but I don’t have much of anything to interfere typically.
Lee1977 6,673 #6 Posted March 23, 2021 (edited) !8 x 650 x 8 with 24 x 950 x12 on the rear. It makes it a little harder to drag the mower deck under it. They are still under size 16" tall on the front and 23" tall on the back. Edited March 24, 2021 by Lee1977
