No... of course not. But it would be nice if they would pay the warranty claim. At least you would have a bit more cash in your pocket. You may have read about my recent work on my wife's car... mechanics are pushed so hard they don't have time to do a proper job even if they wanted to! Ed Kennell 38,227 #55 Posted March 29, 2021 Shortly after buying a new 2010 F-150 Super Crew while driving in town, it started jerking and sounded like there were 1/2 dozen bowling balls rolling around in the bed. I was only 1/2 mile from the Ford dealer where I bough the truck, so I limped it there. A mechanic drove it around the lot and said you need a new transmission....don't worry, it's under warrenty. They pulled it inside to get all the numbers to order the new tranny. A half hour later, the service manager came out and handed me a $100 service bill for replacing a $1.98 plastic vacuum line Tee that an animal had chewed thru. Seem this vacuum line holds the front hubs out from engaging and due to the leak, the front hubs were trying to engage while the front driveshaft was not rotating.
