Action Cameras

I know I don't need one, and I don't know how often I would use one, but I have been thinking about getting an action camera.  I know Go-Pros are very popular, but I don't know if I can justify the price of one with what limited use I would use it for.  Other ones I have ran across are Remali, Akaso, and one that seems too cheap to be any good, Davalo, which got 4 out of 5 stars from Amazon with over 1000 reviews.

Anyways, does anyone have any real time experience with action cameras, and apart from a Go-Pro, experiences with other brands?  Thanks.

I have just ordered a Go pro hero 5 which is a  out of date model but still in stock with some sellers.

Its still a great piece of kit and a LOT CHEAPER than the latest super versions now on sale.

When it arrives I will be looking at ways to use it with Fred and other projects. A friend is still using the Hero 4 version and thinks it is more than good enough for most jobs.

If you're not walking up Everest or doing a once in a lifetime thing that you can't afford to mess up buy the best. If its for general playing about buy a used or refurbished one.

We are having a lot of dog thefts over here with scum stealing your dog right off your lead. They are targeting lone women so Mrs W will be wearing it on her walks for security reasons.

Bought one of those cheep $14 jobs on the bay and used it alot, no issues. Wanted something to mess with in the pool and put on the wheel horse running board. We tend to destroy stuff when used in around water.

One of the first uses in the pool couple years ago and used it at the show year before. Batteries are rechargeable and cheep, hase a remote also.  I suppose it is all about what you are going for.??
