And still be one elbow short somewhere!

I put one in a couple weeks ago.  Forgot my meter.  Figured oh well.  Flipped the breaker that was clearly marked “dishwasher.”  It was clearly NOT the dishwasher when I pulled the pigtail through the box and the ground and power melted each other!  Lessons learned:  1)  check power to be sure it’s off.   2)   Make sure the 95 year old mother in law with dementia is not watching when the sparks happen.  It’ll give you both the excitements!

Well at least he likes what he does @pullstart

Retired people have arranged for their income over their years; cash savings and pensions are just two methods.  The folks that acquired property to use the rent as their source of income can just go suck eggs.

:confusion-confused:     Why would you say this?      :angry-tappingfoot:          Some people would rather rent than own a house. Our tenant sold her house to get away from upkeep and I can tell you that there are a lot of costs that a landlord incurs along the way. We are not slumlords, we bought a house and property for our retirement home and later built a new house on the same property.    :confusion-questionmarks:     Should we tare the old house down so no one could ever live in it?   If we have committed a sin or offended your sensibility by renting it out I apologize.

You missed the whole point.  :angry-chillpill:  Some folks choose to invest in a property, others choose some other type of investment to provide an income during their retirement years.  Those that were depending on that rent money might well be cheated out of it as the current idiots say that the tenant cant be evicted and they can stay on someones property and the landlord be damned.  How would you like to invest $100,000 and have nothing but a loss to show for it?

I wouldn't mind a few less homes around me being sold as rentals. Tenants leave crap all over the place, don't repair the exhaust systems on their cars that run and the ones that don't run, they make dog houses out of them.

Here's the view from my garage. Stuff is never picked up. It's worse now! : :ranting:
