Down here in MD it is $6.57 for 2 x 4 x 8 whitewood and $8.57 for pressure treated.

Saw two tractor trailer loads of lumber this morning on I-81.  I think if I was the driver i might be concerned with being hijacked....

2x4x12 treated $15.47 each!

Was trying not to go in because I know it would cost me more money and with the back surgery, I thought I would do a curb side pick up, just toss the stuff on the trailer.  I ordered on Wednesday afternoon, and they said the order was ready yesterday, well........they had to go get the stuff and it took an hour,  that didn't work out! :ranting: Only good part was I did not have to lift anything.

Bought a new dishwasher last week at Lowes. They told us it would arrive April 24th. Well it came today! :occasion-xmas::rolleyes:

Now anybody who has installed a dishwasher before knows "What you take out is not the same as what you put in." The water connection was different ( had to build an adapter) and the electrical box was in a different spot. (Needed a 90 deg flex connector) so of course a trip back to Lowes. Our store is weather driven. If the suns out it's busy. If it's raining you can throw a bowling ball down the aisles and not hit anybody but workers.:)

They are all over the place at our store. I think they hired all the lingerie dept. workers that got laid off from Sears. :laughing-rofl:

It is required to visit 3 or 4 stores for every plumbing job and then come home with way more parts than it should have taken.

That is "Mackenzie Money"! Mackenzie is my granddaughter and she and her generation will end up saddled with all the debt our idiotic government officials are "giving us".               :soapbox:

We built our house in 2011 when prices were down due to a poor economy, if we were building today we could only a storage shed.

I put one in a couple weeks ago.  Forgot my meter.  Figured oh well.  Flipped the breaker that was clearly marked “dishwasher.”  It was clearly NOT the dishwasher when I pulled the pigtail through the box and the ground and power melted each other!  Lessons learned:  1)  check power to be sure it’s off.   2)   Make sure the 95 year old mother in law with dementia is not watching when the sparks happen.  It’ll give you both the excitements!

Agree.... well said!

I have not an issue helping those that are stuck because of this Covid, but they are giving money to people that have never paid tax, nor do they want to.

I guess it is the 90 / 10 rule, waste 90% of the money and there will be a 10% improvement!
