Was trying not to go in because I know it would cost me more money and with the back surgery, I thought I would do a curb side pick up, just toss the stuff on the trailer. I ordered on Wednesday afternoon, and they said the order was ready yesterday, well........they had to go get the stuff and it took an hour, that didn't work out! Now anybody who has installed a dishwasher before knows "What you take out is not the same as what you put in." The water connection was different ( had to build an adapter) and the electrical box was in a different spot. (Needed a 90 deg flex connector) so of course a trip back to Lowes. Our store is weather driven. If the suns out it's busy. Flipped the breaker that was clearly marked “dishwasher.” It was clearly NOT the dishwasher when I pulled the pigtail through the box and the ground and power melted each other! Lessons learned: 1) check power to be sure it’s off. 2) Make sure the 95 year old mother in law with dementia is not watching when the sparks happen. I have not an issue helping those that are stuck because of this Covid, but they are giving money to people that have never paid tax, nor do they want to.
