Ed Kennell 38,028 #1 Posted March 8, 2021 Anyone have a sign of spring? I saw a large flock on Canada geese headed North this morning. Just walked by the kitchen window and saw this.

JoeM 7,871 #12 Posted March 8, 2021 (edited) there is a horse farm about 13 miles from me that raises those draft horses, Orndorff's Belgian Farm. My old boss stopped there one day and ask to hunt, don't think they left him. He did say the old man gave him a tour and a bunch of info. He ask the guy who buys those horses now a days? The old guy said, best customers are Amish. Said, they are like teenagers in a chevy dealership! My ground is thawed but not planting a garden this year. Oh I did see a sign of spring. The neighbor has his bass boat out tuning it up. He is a fishing nut, always on top of the seasons. Edited March 8, 2021 by JoeM

lynnmor 7,302 #18 Posted March 9, 2021 When a flock of those legged horses fly north, you don't want to look up, much worse then the geese. Signs of spring: I have a few tiny crocus blooming. Robins have returned. And the best is those cardinals singing, I have never in this long life seen so many and they were chirping tunes real loud that I have never heard. 1
Yossarian 208 #19 Posted March 9, 2021 Buds are popping up on the trees, especially the magnolia. Crocuses are blooming. Spring peepers are singing and the gold finches are starting to get their color back.

Darb1964 1,042 #21 Posted March 9, 2021 The days are a little longer, the sun was nice today, but there was still a bite in the wind. Still three feet of snow in the yard and some on the roof. We didn't get a melt off at all this year, all the snow we got stayed. Snow mobiles still enjoying this winter in the Berkshires. Sixties later in the week will be welcome.
DennisThornton 4,769 #22 Posted March 9, 2021 I'm sure Covid has had it's effect, but I have never been so anxious for thawed ground and green grass. Ahh the peepers! Worst, longest hard winter here ever! Second shot next Monday and Springtime is coming!
