T-Mo-(Moderator) 4,496 #1 Posted March 8, 2021 I made a compilation video of my 1940 Farmall H. This was the first Saturday in February of this year, a few days before we got a couple of winter storms that drop 7 to 8 inches of snow and sub-zero weather. It was cool this day, but still a nice day for February. It's a bit long at 9 plus minutes with some boring segments of me driving it a fair distance from the camera. And it still has the small pony tank - I still haven't clean and seal the gas tank for it yet. The hood is just siting on it, and as you can tell, the tractor needs a good cleaning and paint. 7

No, it has always been gas. The original tank is a bit rusty on the inside, so it's off, in my shed awaiting rust removal and sealing. I have a small 2 gallon or so tank from a lawn tractor sitting on and in between a wood structure to keep it in place, that the tractor is running off of. I have driven this tractor now quite a few times with this little pony tank - and it does run good. But I will have to buy a carb rebuild kit as the choke mechanism is loose and may allow the tractor to choke itself if it vibrates too much. Also, the choke rod itself needs replacing - someone has the one on it a bit bent out of shape. Good thing JP Tractor Salvage isn't too far away from me.
