gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,033 #2 Posted March 7, 2021 It comes with rubber tips that are concave, flat and pointed to suit the end of a shaft. Electric motors usually have a drilled center point that the pointed tip fits in. Bought one new in the 70's and very accurate when compared with a digital tach. https://www.google.ca/search?ei=xWNFYPO6CNvj5NoPx42ToAc&q=stewart+warner+tachometer+757-w&oq=stewart+warner+tachometer+&gs_lcp=Cgdnd3Mtd2l6EAEYAzICCAAyAggAMgIIADICCAAyBggAEBYQHjIGCAAQFhAeMgYIABAWEB4yBggAEBYQHjIGCAAQFhAeMgYIABAWEB46BwgAELADEEM6BQgAELADOgkIABCwAxAHEB5QnCpYnCpgolFoAXAAeACAAckBiAHBApIBBTAuMS4xmAEAoAEBqgEHZ3dzLXdpesgBCsABAQ&sclient=gws-wiz Garry 1

JoeM 7,871 #8 Posted March 8, 2021 Fitts a wheel horse of course. take off the flywheel screen and hold it against the center of the rotating crank shaft. May want to widdle that rubber a little to kind of a point with a chamfer.
