haydendavid380 759 #3 Posted March 7, 2021 (edited) Never seen/heard of that before. Maybe a 12hp diesel in a 500 series? Edited March 7, 2021 by haydendavid380
Als 10 #4 Posted March 7, 2021 Sold to me as a 512D GT, it has the 8 gears in a sideways “H” configuration. Just would like to know a bit more. From this tally I believe it to be a Briggs production so pre 1984? thanks for anymore info gents

From this tally I believe it to be a Briggs production so pre 1984? thanks for anymore info gents Wrong decals to be that early. The dark red decals were late 80's. Looks like 1986 was the only year they were made. The engine spec I found says it has a 8.5HP Robin 412cc 1-cyl diesel That's all I've found about it so far. Here's a manual for the engine Edited March 7, 2021 by haydendavid380 3

gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,187 #17 Posted March 7, 2021 This is an undocumented model and the 2nd one to show up. Should be a 1987 model by the serial number. https://www.wheelhorseforum.com/search/?&q=b1-12r80&type=downloads_file&search_and_or=or&sortby=relevancy Garry

I checked the parts list and both still listed 1986.

Look close and notice there are 2 different model numbers B1-12R801 B1-12R802 We now have 2 data decals for a model Toro does not recognize which is not uncommon. Achto 28,245 #22 Posted March 8, 2021 (edited) 5 hours ago, roadapples said: If not mistaken I think Robin is made by Subaru. You are correct. Robin bought out Wisconsin engine. I had a 5hp Wisconsin Robin on the shelf for some time, sold it to a friend to install on his kids go-cart. A short time later Subaru bought out Robin and dropped the Wisconsin name. I have a 6hp Robin/Subaru diesel engine on the shelf waiting for a home. Good engines but the diesels do have a history of deciding to run away. I had a few run away back when we used them on generators at work. I was able to shut the air off & kill the engine on some. The first one that ran away on me was a real joy, I shut the fuel off and it kept running. It started to suck the engine oil and screaming along on that until it finally over revved and tossed a rod out the side of the block. Scary crap when you do not know how to deal with it. Pullstart 63,634 #25 Posted March 9, 2021 If it hasn’t been mentioned, there may be some confusion in naming your AWESOME tractor. The model ID th and the named model number on the tractor don’t always blend so smooth. The B in your tag I’m guessing is for Belgium, not B series. The B series of that era had transitioned to vertical shaft engines. Congrats on your unicorn score! Does it run and drive well?
