rustyedge1 169 #1 Posted March 3, 2021 (edited) Trying to ID these spindles. I have a 417 but mine are shorter through the rim and not threaded. Also have a B80 and C145 don't know about those.. The part which goes through the axle is 3" The threaded piece is 3&13/16" Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Edited March 3, 2021 by rustyedge1
ebinmaine 67,423 #2 Posted March 3, 2021 That's what's on a lot of the older ones from the mid 60s or so up until the late 70s.
Pullstart 62,834 #3 Posted March 3, 2021 Looks like something from a Charger or the like, as Eric mentioned

squonk 41,067 #5 Posted March 3, 2021 I try to use the threaded ones on everything I can. I trust them more than the little clippy ones. 5

Same here.A drop of loc-tite on the bolt threads and zero worries.Had way too many clips fall off by themselves, which is NOT a good thing.
pfrederi 17,725 #7 Posted March 4, 2021 I prefer cotter pin spindles. But WH used special bolts with a plastic plug in the to keep the left side on. You might use these. (that is why older trucks had left hand threaded lug nuts on drivers side)
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,040 #8 Posted March 4, 2021 5630 and 5631 spindles used on 164 tractor models starting in 1965 and ending in 1977. These use a bolt to retain the wheel and a retaining ring to retain the spindle to the axle. Replaced by 115425 and 115426 used on 1990 312-8 and 316-8 exported models. These use a cotter pin to retain the wheel and a retaining ring to retain the spindle to the axle. Garry 1

gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,040 #10 Posted March 4, 2021 Left spindle 105968 and right 105967 were used 1977-1983 model years. These use retaining rings to retain the wheel to the spindle and the spindle to the axle. Also replaced by 115425 and 115426 used on 1990 312-8 and 316-8 exported models. These use a cotter pin to retain the wheel and a retaining ring to retain the spindle to the axle. Left spindle 110213 and right 110212 were used 1984-1987 model years. These use cotter pins at both ends of the spindle. Also replaced by 115425 and 115426 used on 1990 312-8 and 316-8 exported models. These use a cotter pin to retain the wheel and a retaining ring to retain the spindle to the axle. There may be more. If wheels have different depth of hubs the axle part of the spindle will have different lengths. I do not know if that is another variable. The models using 6" wheels would be another series as the king pin part of the spindle is longer. Garry 1 1

I would say yes. The 5630 and 6531 spindles in your picture were used 1965-1977 on 164 different models so not original on the C-145 or 417-8. These were replaced by 115425 and 115426. The 1980-1983 C-145 used 105967 and 105968 spindles both replaced by 115425 and 115426. The 1984 C-145 used 110212 and 110213 spindles both replaced by 115425 and 115426. The 1985-1986 417-8 used 110212 and 110213 spindles both replaced by 115425 and 115426. Garry
