That is a Brinly plow made for , and its missing the Coulter wheel that really isn't all that important, but the biggest thing missing and needed is the actual "clevis" or "tounge" hitch to attach to the tractor's clevis or slot hitch. Cuts through the surface (grass, crop residue, ect) so that the plow just flops it over. The one above (which appears to be complete) is $125 and 25 minutes away. Which would you guys go with? Also I apologize, I have zero experience with these little plows, but are they light enough for someone to be able to pick up by hand and put in a truck? And as @c-series don mentioned, it will need to be "shined" up... haydendavid380 759 #9 Posted February 28, 2021 It was kind of funny. The complete plow was listed on FB marketplace for $200 and last night I found the guy had it listed on ebay for half the price. Just went ahead and bought it off ebay and I'm waiting for contact to pick it up. Got my rear lift kit and brinley adapter ordered yesterday from Lowell and I've been working on beating the pin through the tranny case to swap in my slot hitch all morning. I'll pick up a couple flap wheels while I'm out today. I'll be turning soil in no time! (if the ground ever thaws). haydendavid380 759 #14 Posted March 7, 2021 (edited) Plow time is back on the table! Found this one for a good price. A couple hour drive. Looks to be a bit older, but I'd assume it should work fine. I'm supposed to go pick it up Saturday morning. Off to go pickup some flap discs. Kind of glad to find an older one with a mount for a slot hitch. My cultivator is the same, and I would have had to run an adapter for anything that needed a sleeve. Only question I have with this one is about the top bar. Is that what this one should have or should it have some kind of angle adjustment? If it is supposed to be fixed, is that a problem? It looks like the PO sprayed a coat of silver paint on it before putting it away. Is it normal to have large gaps on either side of the hitch insert so it flops back and forth? I would think yes, (I gave no physical experiences with the slot hitch) but with the clevis or "Brinly" hitch the manual says NOT to tighten the adjustment bolts against the clevis, and I don't, I believe it allows the plow to follow the flow of ground and any obstacles that may lay under and thus hopefully not break something... @WHX24 @PeacemakerJack what you "plow dogs" say? BTW I said I would get the dimensions for the cultivator "braces" but between a 16yo son and an 83yo father I got side tracked while there yesterday, best guess would be no thinner than 1/4" x 1" flat iron approximately 18" long from the pics I supplied in your other thread bolt through the center section and had a bar welded to the other and using the clamps/wedges like the plow shanks.
