Red Headed Horse 38 #1 Posted February 26, 2021 Just a quick question. Did WH ever produced blue painted WHs officially or sanctioned dealerships to allow them to sell them as blue WHs? Thanks 1

ebinmaine 67,627 #3 Posted February 26, 2021 Municipal accounts had some yellow ones. Not heard of blue. Others may have different information... Interesting question. You have a line on one?
Red Headed Horse 38 #4 Posted February 26, 2021 There's one on FB MarketPlace here in the UK, a 1970s Charger model I think?
AMC RULES 37,130 #5 Posted February 26, 2021 Remember, nothing about W-H is ever set in stone. They're not unheard of, a couple have surfaced here over the years. What model is the one you're looking at now? Copy and paste a couple picts here into this thread please.
Pullstart 62,912 #6 Posted February 26, 2021 Was it Nick @71_Bronco that had the blue short frame square hood?
Red Headed Horse 38 #7 Posted February 26, 2021 (edited) To me it looks like a very good paint job carried out some time ago but whether by a previous owner who fancied a different colour to red or was painted by a dealership I cannot really decide. Rusty Tinsnips 477 #8 Posted February 26, 2021 Is there some red paint under the blue on the grill? And on the motor.

AMC RULES 37,130 #10 Posted February 26, 2021 Seems the thing was obviously repainted by a previous owner.

I have to confess I am rather taken by the blue colour but I think you're right it had been repainted at some point in the past. Cool patina I think.

71_Bronco 1,072 #20 Posted February 28, 2021 No worries @pullstart I've never had a blue one, never seen a factory one either. I've seen a couple re-paints, but no factory ones. I did see a recent one on FBM that had a greyish-blue plow / plow-frame on it, like an industrial machine color. Looked pretty nice. Whoever did the repaint did a good job.
