AHS 1,443 #1 Posted February 25, 2021 I changed the tranny belt in November on my B80... I just used a 7473 belt (brand new) cause that’s what I had kickin around.... first of all is that the right belt to use for this? B80 ID # 61-84803-24946. Now the belt has worn away at the outside edge, so it is slipping. On the front motor pulley I noticed some rust crud inside the pulley... I know.. I should have taken it off, and replaced it or cleaned it up. Black belt dust all over the font half of the motor, the battery, starter and belt cover. Is this the right belt? And I know I’ve got to clean the groove of the pulley! The B80’s got a plow on it, so that’s what I’m using to keep the driveway clean, I’m just hoping that the belt will make it thru the winter! pfrederi 17,866 #2 Posted February 25, 2021 The little I can see on the pic shows one pretty bad pulley. The belt is correct. 7473 You may be in a race to see if belt outlast the snow... 1
daveoman1966 3,762 #3 Posted February 25, 2021 7473 is the correct belt for the B-80. You gotta get the crud off that engine pulley...that's what's tearing up the belt...unless there is something draggin on it.

AHS 1,443 #5 Posted February 25, 2021 Ok, the belt is the same for 8 speeds since I dunno when......7473. Does that mean the motor pulley and the clutch pulley will be the same as well? I would think it would.

gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,095 #7 Posted February 25, 2021 The engine pulleys for the 8-speeds come in 2 sizes. The OD is the same but the ID should be 1" on your tractor. The larger engines pulleys are 1-1/8" ID. The hydro models use a different OD. Garry
