Linkage Adjustment on 520H transmission

Recommended Posts

Wahldo

I have a Wheelhorse that I have to hold the throttle arm upwards for the tractor to move forwards, no issues in reverse. What is the correct bolt/nut to loosen

to make the plate with the slot in it to correct this issue and which direction do I move the plate to make this adjustment.

Thanks,

Wahldo

WHX??

The manual might be your best friend here Waldo but sounds like an friction issue with the cam plate under the seat. Just to be clear here are we talking the throttle or motion lever?

Somebody get this gentleman a manual. I can't do it on a tablet.

The fellas will be along to get you that manual, advise and :WRS:.

Its my motion lever. Sorry for not knowing the term for that. I can see the plate under the seat I just want a little guidance on the best way to adjust it.

The manual will tell you the correct way to adjust it. The problem with these is the amount of friction needed to keep the motion lever in the position you desire. Best advise now is remove the cam plate and clean everthing paying attention to the wear on the eccentric adjuster and cam plate.  Book says do not lubricate as that can attract dirt causing further problems.  I use a dry graphite but even then it's trial and error to get it spot on. All of my 520's have a pedal kit so a whole different ball game.

Here is a link to an Owners Manual, the adjustment is on page 15.  All 520H tractors are about the same, you can go thru the Manuals section to get the exact year that you have.
