Use them!!

When your :wh: collection reaches double digits like mine, then you always have some thing to do. Weather it be working on one or using one.:D

Those low compression engines don't need high octane racing fuel just good NON ETHANOL 87 is all.

I like the ATV tires.  As you said, might have a bit of a clearance issue.  Been done here several times.

Being it's a Raider, how about "Indy"? As in "Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the lost Ark". Plus it was built in Indiana. :)

The lift cable hooks to your rock shaft (same one that lifts the mower deck or snow plow) on one end and to the slot hitch on the other. You could run duals with a tiller, but you would always be leaving a wheel track.

So it will turn over without the spark plug installed, but not with the spark plug installed?? Sounds to me like the battery is dead and it won't turn over with the resistance of compression. Charge the battery & try it again.

OK, now I'm confused.:confusion-confused:

What engine does this tractor have?? I thought only the newer engines had an electric fuel cut off on the carb.

If you are spitting oil out of the intake and exhaust -

1.Is the oil level over full??

2. Does it have a broken piston ring?

As far as the turning over thing. The engine will spin with the starter but won't start??

First off let me say its very good of your to try to get into the "Garden Tractor Hobby" as I have 2 boys close to you age, 1 really tries with these old tractors the other can recite specs about exotic supercars but can't point anything out to help me diagnose his mechanical issues, so with being said "we" are here to help you , but when you say cut wires on a carburetor of this vintage tractor it isn't helping us help you, try to be a bit more descriptive in your questions, add a much info you can like the numbers on the engine specifications decal if still there and readable,  pictures ect. @Achto Dan is trying is best here to help you out "our" young friend.
