My 4wd compact with R4 is a disappointment in snow that packs or has packed.  Slip and slid all over.  Chains on the rear make a huge difference but I'm going to add either chains on the front or screw in studs.

 

10ft length of #40 should do both fronts on a wheel horse.

Put them on all 4, but most times its just on the rears, haven't had them on the eMax yet but I do have a set for the rear, and yes R4s aren't the greatest.
