elcamino/wheelhorse 9,296 #2 Posted February 17, 2021 Maybe Richmond should get a few of those . The city sure as heck never heard of a snow plow.
Stepney 2,325 #3 Posted February 17, 2021 There's still a handful of them in preservation, I know Naples or Bridgton has a large one right down near Rick's Cafe on the side of the lake.

c-series don 8,668 #8 Posted February 18, 2021 An elderly gentleman that owned a local gas station here was originally from Canada. He told me about rolling the snow and how it would be up to 8’ to 10’ thick come spring. He said that they would start a new road along side the packed snow road in the spring. 1
formariz 11,987 #9 Posted February 18, 2021 This is really interesting and at the same time funny to me since I do something similar here. Scattered through the property far from each other and the house I have three sheds and the firewood pile. I always need access to all specially the firewood. The first time I drive my Electro backwards dragging the plow on snow to just compact it and create the "roads" and after that and on subsequent snow falls I drag a big lawn roller with tractor to just compact snow and keep it level. I have done this for years and it works really well giving me constant access to all areas.
