Tuneup 1,433 #26 Posted February 24, 2021 In striping the lawn, have you considered modifying the rear of the mower to add a roller like the Simplicity of old?
peter lena 8,877 #27 Posted February 24, 2021 RAPOSO, use this grease on your pto needle bearing , as well as your mower deck bearings , https://www.walmart.com/ip/Lucas-Oil-10005-Red-N-Tacky-Grease-14-oz/36052506?athcpid=36052506&athpgid=athenaItemPage&athcgid=null&athznid=PWVUB&athieid=v0&athstid=CS020&athguid=70997aaa-007-177d448a08f779&athancid=null&athena=true with a hi temp drop point 540+ , the grease will stay with your bearings , instead of failing . have this in all my deck drive areas , made a point of getting this fresh hi temp grease in those bearings , no noise , and no failures . just my own experience, pete
Raposo 530 #28 Posted March 15, 2021 Well she’s a runner! Need to get a longer throttle cable and hook that up and fine tune the carb but she’s moving under her own power now! 1

Raposo 530 #39 Posted March 30, 2021 Pulled the bags off to tow the aerator around today, ran it for 45 mins and she did great. I did notice the exhaust seems to be a bit hot, what would cause that? Too lean?

They still have rollers on them. My dad bought a new Simplicity Broadmoor in 2015 that has full width rollers on the 48" deck. It cuts nice and lays down some nice striping in the grass, but I don't think it is as good as the Wheel Horse 48" decks.

I'll mess with the carb a little more, still don't have it perfect. I'll add a little more fuel. I never remember if tightening the screw is more or less fuel haha. I am very happy with it!
rjg854 11,578 #43 Posted March 31, 2021 Tightening the needle valve decreases the amount of fuel, loosening increases the amount of fuel being used.
