Pullstart 63,635 #1 Posted February 17, 2021 I have this K662 Kohler twin. It is mostly propane. But many things are missing. I have found that a Model 28 Zenith carburetor might have been stock on that engine. Does that mean 28 mm Venturi? Could I essentially tune any 28mm carb to work? I was thinking maybe a horizontal flow carb like most of what we’re used to, then a 90 degree intake tube. I could fashion it in any reasonable direction for a filter. Pullstart 63,635 #2 Posted February 17, 2021 The 662 is 1101 cc. Possibly I should search for a comparable size engine to see what reasonable carb I could find? Today a KT735 (735 cc) makes 24 hp, like this K662 did.
Achto 28,249 #3 Posted February 17, 2021 I have some Mikuni carbs from 16hp vanguards if you would be interested. They are vertical venturi. Not sure on the bore, I can look tonight. 1
ebinmaine 69,843 #4 Posted February 17, 2021 Get out your welder and some piping and make up a triple intake. Put three, 8 horse carburetors on there and call it fantastic. 2 2

squonk 41,983 #6 Posted February 17, 2021 If you use the Harley carb, try to find one that hasn't fallen off the bike at highway speed. 1
