dells68 7,498 #1 Posted February 16, 2021 Well, most of you know that my Dad is fighting lung cancer right now. I’m here very little because I’m staying with him and have no cell or internet service. He has done well with his first round of chemo with the only side effect being him losing his hair. He starts round 2 tomorrow along with a solid three week round of radiation treatments tomorrow as well. I shaved his head for him last night as he has very little hair left. I then shaved my head while he Was in the show to show him a little support. I pretty much look like a cantaloupe with a face! @953 nut wanted me to share. Well here it is... Be good @WHX24 ............. 4

WVHillbilly520H 10,373 #5 Posted February 17, 2021 Praying for your dad's recovery, my wife's step-dad (who lives next door to us), had half a lung removed in 2019 because of cancer and last year another spot showed up and he went through chemo for that, so far for now cancer free, but limited to what and now much he can do, and my dad (83yo now) had a stroke Sept 2019 (is back to 95% now), I know what kind a of toll these things can put on you, especially with kids and work, hang in there "brother from another mother". 2

dells68 7,498 #17 Posted April 25, 2021 Thanks for all of the prayers and well wishes friends! I haven’t been back on here since my original post, but return with great news. Dad had another PET scan last week and got the results on Wednesday. There is now no sign of cancer in his lung, only some scar tissue remaining! He also had a brain MRI and it hasn’t attacked the brain. He starts precautionary radiation treatments on the brain tomorrow. He’ll have 10 treatments with the side effect being a lot of fatigue for a couple of months. That we can handle. He did really well throughout the chemo treatments and radiation. It kicked his butt, but he fought it like a champ. Luckily, he didn’t have much nausea, just lots of fatigue and a very sore throat. He only lost around 16 pounds and managed to stay out of the hospital! A huge thank you to all of my wheel horse family, your prayers did more than you could imagine. Thanks to God for his great healing powers and for giving Dad the strength to fight this! Love each and every one of you, even ole @WHX24 - always good for a laugh and pick me up!!! 1 2 1
