Too much red 65 #1 Posted February 14, 2021 I'm trying to hook up a snow plow to my 854 and I'm not having any luck. I bought the rear attach o matic setup from wheel horse parts and more. I bought the plow off of cl and cleaned it up and got it working. Now, for the life of me, I can't figure out how to connect it. Any one have suggestions? Snow plow is a 96-42bc01. Tractor is a
WVHillbilly520H 10,373 #2 Posted February 14, 2021 They handle needs to be "laid" down or removed , then drive over it, raise the rear bar up into the hitch and clamp the latches, the center link goes onto the mower lift bar (lower it down to attach) then raise, now put your angle lever back on should be good to go plowing,
peter lena 8,583 #3 Posted February 14, 2021 agree with hillbilly , that vertical plow lever should be unbolted and laid down on the ground , then drive over frame , till rear cross bar lines up with the two open loops for the frame cross bar to fit into. lower both lever traps on bar and secure with " R " CLIPS SO THEY WILL NOT OPEN. now secure the lift bar at mid frame , to plow with a bolt , and reblot vertical handle , lubricate all contact points. once bolted on you should be able to lift it and using vertical handle , to steering quadrant , should be able to swing plow side to side . pete

The angle iron of the attachomatic won't let me connect the bar.

gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,033 #7 Posted February 14, 2021 The 854 is a short frame tractor so move the rear A-frame round bar ahead to the next pair of holes. Opps - You have the early axle hitch that mounts in front of the axle housings for the early style A-frames. The axle hitch must match the style/age of plow you have. Th silver handles should point to the rear (not up or down) before they are latched and downward after they are latched. Too much red 65 #15 Posted February 14, 2021 I cannot mount it underneath. The bar that runs between the 2 ends hits the bottom of the transaxle casing. Are you saying I need to cut my attachomatic up and mount it underneath?
WVHillbilly520H 10,373 #16 Posted February 14, 2021 Here's what they should look like, the red and bare metal one I made myself, the black one is factory.
Too much red 65 #17 Posted February 14, 2021 Ok, so I need a different rear attachomatic altogether then? That makes more sense. Wish I knew that before I bought this one.

Blackhood Bill 721 #21 Posted February 14, 2021 I think this is what is being said. 1. Turn bracket according to yellow arrows, but 2. Green arrow indicates this bar is being hit by case when installed. which means a different bracket is needed if case is hitting cross bar on bracket. Lowell good people Talk with him first before doing anything to quick as a knee jerk reaction.

It doesn't say that it works for short frame wheel horses, is that ok?
