I recall when I was a kid watching the floor / pedals etc of my dad's jeep or scout flexing, moving, and drivetrain groaning when he was plowing dirt and heavy gravel ... grading ... clearing brush ... and I thought this can't be good ... needed the DUH then ! roadapples 6,983 #31 Posted February 14, 2021 I don't think he's accident prone, he's just young. Most of us can still remember that.... 3

He's not short of tractors, he can brake a few and still have some that work. Plus he fixes them fast, not like some one we know.

But it doesn't seem to hurt the transmission, just the rear of the frame...my Yuppers, thats where mine cracked too, I welded er up and just said.....GIVER heheheheheh
moe1965 743 #36 Posted February 15, 2021 Thanks for all the info guys kinda made me rethink. I never really had a issue just running the wheel weights but just figured more couldn't hurt. I took off the 300 adfidinal weight and will just go with that. That being said I'm assuming pulling a trailer full of wood etc and having a tongue weight of 300 lbs or what ever would be the same result ???? Big snow for us here tonight I'm ready to go. Thanks again lots of knowledge learned by all you good people here on this forum

There are other factors, too, related to the force needed to start AND STOP the trailer and if the tongue is above or below the level of the rear axle.
