Pullstart 62,804 #3 Posted February 13, 2021 Nice rig! The lift arm on the left will control the plow’s up and down motion. We don’t have plows that flip over like that typically but they are a great idea!
Handy Don 12,163 #4 Posted February 13, 2021 Nifty gadget. Nice score! Connected using a slot hitch and a cable through a tube to the middle of the tractor so the lift lever can raise/lower it. Lets you drive the tractor both ways across the garden but still always turn your furrows to the same side. Clever!
Pullstart 62,804 #5 Posted February 13, 2021 Also, I believe that should have a limited slip differential with the six speed transmission. That’s a rock solid setup!
oliver2-44 9,701 #6 Posted February 13, 2021 Interesting plow. Is there a mechanism to flip it at the end of the row as others have mentioned.
Handy Don 12,163 #7 Posted February 13, 2021 The oval in the image below highlights where the plow has a "tongue" that slide into a "slot" in the tractor-mounted hitch and is held there by a vertical pin through the slot and tongue. The arrow points to the arm on the top of the hitch. A cable connects this arm to another arm in the middle of the tractor that is part of the lift mechanism. It pushes forward for snow blowers and other front mounted things, lifts straight up for mower decks, mid mount grader blades and snow plows, and pulls forward to lift the rear hitch as well.
