AHS 1,443 #1 Posted February 11, 2021 Since this last snow storm, I had been counting how many times my neighbor got plowed out... 5 x $40 per push= $200. My B80 cost $100. So, I said to my wife “you know the B80 has actually paid for itself and parts plowing us out this year. And she said “yup, I never had thought that”... and bingo I got my $100 WH justified by my wife! 2 8 2

stevasaurus 22,767 #3 Posted February 11, 2021 "I don't need no stinking justification for my Wheel Horses !!" I would never say that, but what you posted made me think of that. I just had to share. 2 1
SylvanLakeWH 25,606 #4 Posted February 11, 2021 (edited) Sounds to me, if my math is correct (200-100=100) like you got $100 extra to go get another Wheel Horse... maybe one for your outstanding Mrs...!!! AHS 1,443 #10 Posted February 11, 2021 @squonk I have a 414-8 with a tall shute single stage, I have only had that out twice. That for the really big snow storms.... but I’m constantly searching for the ‘holy grail of single cylinders’ .... a 16 hp!😀

That, my friend, is what’s known as fuzzy math. My wife says I am very good at fuzzy math… although, in this case, the math is actually working out. Mine does not always work out that well, LOL. Please don’t tell my wife. Edited February 12, 2021 by cschannuth

Retired Wrencher 5,467 #16 Posted February 12, 2021 (edited) AHS Those B80 are bullet proof. I have had mine for a while now . Those 8hp are very reliable. If yours has an 8 speed you are a head of the game. I never seen the need for one till I started plowing. Enjoy the tractor. When my wife sees "red square" on the computer I just tell her it's a cold war history site, certainly not a gateway to me spending money on "those tractors"
AHS 1,443 #18 Posted February 12, 2021 Yup, mine pretty much looks the same as yours! @Retierd Wrencher mines an 8 speed. Hey take a picture of your gov. to throttle linkage. The only issue I have is a hi speed issue. Surging. The carb was off when I got it. It runs great until I have it full throttle.

haydendavid380 759 #25 Posted February 12, 2021 Does the surging go away with load? Mine has a little bit of a putt-putt-putt surging until the engine gets a load
