JCM 9,675 #1 Posted February 10, 2021 Bought this 10 years ago to clean the 12'x22' deck off after a storm and was getting tired of shoveling it. When we first moved here we got much more snow than we do now and after 3 to 4 hours doing clean up the last thing I needed was to shovel the deck off. Picked this up at the Toro dealer and laughed a little when he told me how good these actually worked. I was really surprised at the nice job it does in powder. I try to let no more than 6'' build up at a time.It has been trouble free and I figure at $ 300.00 and made by Toro it had to be worth it. I give it the thumbs up.
Stepney 2,332 #2 Posted February 10, 2021 I rebuilt dozens of those things when I used to buy 'scrap' off the old Toro shop in Biddeford. They are a great machine, as were most of the smaller gas/electric Toro units.
WHX?? 49,548 #3 Posted February 10, 2021 I had one just like that Plunge .... rescued it out of the dumpster at the shop. Got it running and real handy for a footpath out to the dog kennels and bird feeders. It give up the ghost & not worth repairing a second time so now it's brake rotors. Now have a 20 clam snow champ from a garage sale... with a Tecky that starts first pull go figure..... for those chores. Stevebo had a thread at the beginning of winter for some nifty behinds.
