‘Snot like that completely.  As for our house, we can get by like that, but we have elderly family and friends that are struggling to get in or out and we like to take care of them.

We are expecting freezing rain here.

wife is at a panic mode! She thinks we're gonna lose water so I have to stop and get several gallons of water on the way home

:confusion-confused: i'm not sure how she figures that out but I guess I have to make her happy!

I suppose you have a well?

We do so if we have no electricity we have no water because we have no generator big enough to power the well.

We keep a gallon or two of potable water on hand at all times.

Also have several two or three gallon jugs that we can use to flush the toilet.

We are ALWAYS prepared to be without electricity for a long-term.
