just replace the O-ring under the Copper washer.

Where would a person look for such a copper washer?

@daveoman1966   good info , what was the specific make up of the " 0 " ring ? https://www.google.com/search?q=o+ring+for+hyrraulic+cylinder&rlz=1C1CHBF_enUS866US866&oq=o+ring+for+hyrraulic+cylinder+&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUyBggAEEUYOTIICAEQABgWGB4yCggCEAAYChgWGB4yDQgDEAAYhgMYgAQYigUyDQgEEAAYhgMYgAQYigUyDQgFEAAYhgMYgAQYigUyDQgGEAAYhgMYgAQYigUyCggHEAAYgAQYogQyBwgIEAAY7wXSAQkxODQ2MmoxajSoAgiwAgHxBVQXmPl8eJ9O8QVd2uobpsAVLA&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8  maybe you just lucked out on your replacement , type / style / composition , back in the day , when I did those , we had a chart / graph  specific  to  chemical effect / good / bad ,  oils / pressure  etc , viton, teflon , etc  that would let you get exactly what you need ,  most of  our  hydraulic anything anything was based on  FOOD GRADE , capabilities , just about everything we made was , added into food , beer . also typically  used a super lube , for installation ease , compatibility , pete
