Charger 12 PTO Lever

I’m going to use my Charger as a snow/dirt/ gravel blade tractor only for now so I wanted to take off the PTO engagement lever and brackets but when I do that the pulley obviously won’t stay on. Is it OK to leave it as shown in the picture or is there some thing I need to do differently.
 

I don’t think I need to take it off but it would just be cleaner for the blade angle adjustment lever if it wasn’t on there and I think it looks cleaner without it. Thanks so much for any advice.

You can leave it like that, or just remove the 4 bolts holding it on and remove the plate and the race. Either way won't hurt a thing.

I would  remove the plate and the bearing race  to prevent damage.  Grease the race and store it safely. 

     This PTO bell, engagement rod and bracket are very sought after by tractor owners with a failing electric clutch.

IMO, this is the best PTO system Wheel Horse designed.

This is the first older horse that I’ve had with a PTO on it and I did think it was a very simple and effective set up.

If you leave it on, clean and wrap the bearing race with duct tape or something to protect it.

You can remove the PTO bell and Clutch Disc too...as I did my my C-160.  To protect the CRANKSHAFT, I found a piece of Black Plastic Pipe of 1-1/8" ID.  Heat it up and push onto the crankshaft stub (grease up the stub first).  The black platic pi[pe will shrink TIGHT onto the stub.  Here's My C-160...
