Water heater, sounds like angels singing!

:ROTF:  Nice work!  It’s tough to do quality jobs when you’re following someone who measured by “I need a board ‘bout yay long”

I'm sure it was much squarer when built, but the settling over the years makes the doorways a real pain!!

Careful...“Yay long” is measured differently from state to state... in Michigan we use mittens, Florida panhandles, Maine, well... meh...uhm... @ebinmaine just has the paint department figure it out...

When we were building my nephews house, we had to make a run for some lumber. When we got to the lumber yard my nephew stepped up to the counter and ask for some 2x4's. The guy behind the counter asked "How long do you want them?" I quickly piped up and said "We're building a house, we want them for a long time"

Sorry, Kevin's statement just reminded me of that moment.

Great work on the shelves Randy.:handgestures-thumbupright:

I don't mind at all, I live my life vicariously through the humor on here anyway!!

Thanks, on the shelves! We have a little house, so I try to make every nook and cranny useful!!

Thank you!!

I am definitely a jack of all trades, master of auto glass! :orcs-cheers:

I have always tried to do everything myself, but my body is telling me to start looking for a handy man one of these days!!

You ain't wrong.

Trina builds LOTS of stuff literally by eye.

I WISH I could do that.

She grew up into a family full of carpenters.

Yay big. So big. Kinda big. A little bigger. 'Bout this much.

If it don't fit, shave it. If it's too small add more boards til it do fit.

In science class we are learning about energy.  Wood has high tensile strength.  Just hafta pull harder!  Get a BBT!

I have had one in the past but I haven't seen it since we remodeled the basement. It's particularly disconcerting to me because I used to keep it in the same tool kit as my left-handed crescent wrench, glass face framing hammer and a small bottle of dihydrogen monoxide which was exceptionally beneficial when exchanging water pumps on old VW beetle engines.

Maybe you plastered it to the wall?  If you need, you can borrow my box of scribed lines.  I don’t have a left handed crescent wrench, but I’ve got a metric one if you could make that work...

I've got plenty of scribed lines but thanks.

Those I kept with the pre-striped paint.

Metric crescent???

Maybe I’ll stick that wrench in the classifieds, trade for something cool like another RJ or a 520-8.

Great idea and all but why aim so low?

That's probably worth more in the range of a nice original Senior or NOS 420 LSE

Well, probably because we have a senior in the garage ( a second sure would be cool) and I don’t really have much desire for a NOS LSE, because I’d be the guy using it to clear brush or plow with on a regular basis.  I’ rather have a usable machine :handgestures-thumbupright:
