older Wheel Horses in Europe

Recommended Posts

Maxwell-8

I was wondering If there where any RJ's or pre 1970 Wheel Horses in Europe?

Oldest Wheel Horses I know off in Europe are the Raider's.

Would love to find an 50's or 60'es WheelHorse.

Now is a good time for a “caption this” I believe...

#1 Drop this and I’m gonna kill you!

#2 Just need to look tough for the camera!

Sounds be a crazy idea, but maybe Funny, crossing the whole USA on a Wheelhorse.

Slow but Steady - like in the Movie....

btw: is that possible or better Allowed?

Could be a funny Journey..

Btw to answer your Question, here in Germany i do lot‘s of research with less result.

Until now i mostly found lot‘s of the 200Series 211 and 212 and newer, but just a count of fingers real old Wheelhorses.

There may be few here, i see some search for Parts or questions for Wheel Horse Parts an contact them,

But mostly they ask for 200‘s. Just a ask if i would sell one.

About one and a half year ago i found a GT14 not too far but in a very bad Shape with lot‘s of damages, Gearbox locked up

Engine was locked and the PO asked 2500€ for it. I contact him but he also don‘t know about a German Scene here.

He found it at his grandfathers property and just want to sell it. I talked about the price, the next Day his offer was cancelled

and the slaughtered Horse can be find on ebay for astronomical prices.

There be sure few hidden Machines in Germany, but i doubt the most will know what they have

or they don‘t will sell them as long as they run even with another Swaped Engine.

A Scene here does just exist for the Gutbrods.

Wheel Horse are not spreaded that Way and here mostly Lawnmowertractas was sold, Gardentractas like Wheelhorses more less.

lot‘s of older JD‘s can be found, but they are also in a Pricerange upper 2000.

However,

In the last time i noticed that searches here for „old Wheel Horse“ grows more and more.

The square front axles, just straight across.... I have yet to see one. Maybe someone on here has one. But, I think, it would be kinda cool to think that one tractor that had missed the boat. ..the updated front axle. I think it would be special, and worth some money.

Currently a repainted commando 800 with a newer briggs handstart for sale on our secondhands (only horizontals-shaft WH for sale here) asking 3500€

Whow, impressive collection.

i wish the Transfer would be not that expensive, i would catch also few more.

The prices they call here are also far from any reality.

I wonder if they did rock, paper, scissors to decide who got to carry the back end of the horse.

Chris Sutton down in Sussex has a coupe of RJ's. I think he imported them from the US.
