Maxwell-8 4,275 #1 Posted February 1, 2021 (edited) I bought a horse from @bizon She needs some love , But the bagger caught my attention. It's partially homemade, partially WH oem. It's driving by the PTO, i don't know if that is stock, as it asks quite a lot of power. The blower housing is WH, but the bag, or trash can, is our local standard trash can. So she can put on the street right after from the lawn. It's also mounted on the transmission, seems to be quite some weight for hanging only on the transmission. (not mounted on the pic) Edited February 1, 2021 by Maxwell-8

Maxwell-8 4,275 #3 Posted February 1, 2021 (edited) Not at the moment, it's ran by the 2nd pto pulley thru a oem hole in the fender, to the pulley and tensioner on the blower unit. Haven't tried it yet, but he said it's very powerfull and you need all the 14 horsepower when engaging it. Belt is broken now, but should use the same belt as for the mowing deck Edited February 1, 2021 by Maxwell-

That covered PTO-to-rear belt path is fascinating. I could see that being very handy for a generator or an auxiliary hydraulic pump. Some closeups of the belt path when you have it open to replace the belt would be most appreciated! Thanks. Edited February 1, 2021 by Handy Don
Lee1977 6,648 #5 Posted February 1, 2021 I run my vacuum with a 4 HP Honda. when it's has a load you can hear the governor kick in. If that tractor a 312 you need all 12 horses to pull that 48" deck.

But that looks like a 14HP with an 8Speed and a 42" deck. Should be some HP left to turn the vacuum blower.
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,033 #7 Posted February 1, 2021 Can you read the 4-digit build date in the bottom box? Can find nothing on the 17-42VB01 but it may be a PAL attachment meaning it was supplied by an outside source and endorsed by Wheel Horse. This type of model number was first used in 1976. Peco was an early vacuum supplier.
